  • Its funny to wake up in the morning with a high (~300) blood
sugar,  when i’ve normally been running in the mid 150s to
160s.  As far as I know, i didn’t make myself a bowl of pasta in
the middle of the night. I’ve heard of sleep-walking,  but i’m not
sure sleep-cooking is as common a phenomena.

I had definitely been looking forward to Friday night for oh…the past
month or so,  when I heard that Liz Phair would be performing at
Swedish American Hall,  upstairs from Cafe du Nord.   I
saw her a year ago at the Fillmore,  but the crowd was mainly
teeny-boppers.  This time around,  she played quite a bit of
her old stuff,  and tons of tracks off
whitechocolatespaceegg,  one of my favorite cds ever.
I went with my friend Monika,  and before the show,  we
grabbed dinner at Home @ Church/Market.  Soooo good.  I
probably shouldn’t have splurged and had the creme brulee,  but i
did keep my blood-sugar in check.

Saturday night,  went over to Chrissy Field for a little bit and hung out with Monika at the relay-for-life event.

And yesterday,  I lounged around after my fantasy football
draft,  played some poker online (thanks to checkyourbets.com, i
can actually see that i’ve been winning!) , and then walked to trader
joes and bought some cheese and various things to nibble on this
week.  The walk down the hill wasn’t bad,  but the walk back
    up…ack,  i’m out of shape.

Heard yesterday from my building manager,  that he thinks my
building might be close to being sold.  He gave a date of October
18th,  but I figure not much will change.  At least, thats
what i’m hoping. I don’t expect the new owners to kick us all out and
turn it into condos,  but that could very well happen.  At
the very least, i should have 90 days from then to find a new
place….right?  I need to look into the housing regulations for
SF…..I love my new place,  i definitely don’t want to
    move!
