Oops. I guess I let this slip. After enough jabbing
from friends (who supposedly just check this on occasion), i’ve
decided to blog again.On Sunday night, i finally went out for sushi with my friend
Daria. She and I have been talking about this for a while
now….but she has been busy, i’ve been busy, she was back
in Romania visiting her relatives back there, you know the
drill. =) We ate at Kirala, and we ate (well
mostly me) a ton! Sooo good though. First time for me
trying tempura ice cream. I even loved the caterpillar (avocado,
crab, unagi, tobiko) roll and i don’t even like crab. The
robata were about on par with those at Barracuda in burlingame,
however the quail was tasty. A bit difficult to eat however.Today, I woke up later than normal for work. On top of
that, I was scrambling around trying to find my bus/building
pass. I didn’t find it, but i’m not stressing anymore as I
found it when I got home. Dinner plans with an old acquaintance
from college were scuttled, but we moved them to Thursday.
Dinner at Tablespoon on russian hill, so that should be
fun. I think i have plans almost every day this week.
Craziness! And all this leads up to my quick three-day,
two-nighter to Sin City starting on Sunday. I need a bit of an
escape. “Me time” as they say…..good restaurants, a
concert, penn/teller, drinks at ghostbar, and maybe even a
bit of poker play at the wynn. And definitely some reading by the
pool. Should be a very relaxing mini-vacation!
