-
it has been a long weekend.
but at least i got to hang out with great friends, see a couple
movies, buy tons of cool books at the sf library book sale,
listen to a compilation cd which has been sitting in shrink wrap for a
year, and have lunch in sausalito (might have been my first time
in sausalito in fact) on a glorious day with a perfect view of the
greatest city in the entire world.
books now added to my queue:
Alvin Toffler, “The Third Wave”
Tony Kornheister, “I’m Back for the Cash”
Timothy O’Brien, “Bad Bet”
Lessard and Baldwin, “net slaves: true tales of working the web”
Alan Cooper, “The Inmates Are Running the Asylum”
Thomas Hine, “The Total Package”
Jacoby and Crawford, “The Backgammon Book”
A. Alvarez, “The Biggest Game in Town”
Stephen Levy, “Crypto”
Clifford Stoll, “High Tech Heretic”
Ralph Schoenstein, “The Booze Book: The Joy of Drink”
Joseph Menn, “all the rave: the rise and fall of napster”
Michael Lewis, “The New New Thing”
David Bank, “Breaking Windows”And i still have to read the Tales of the City compendium, next. These should last me quite a while….
