I finally broke down and bought one. Every time I walk into
the Apple Store in Burlingame, I end up ogling the Cinema Displays.
I can’t help it. I’ve got a bulky 17″ CRT monitor which weighs
8000 pounds that sits on my desk. It doesn’t really fit the
charm/elegance of my primary computing machine at home, my G4
Macintosh. It is more in line for a UNIX box or
something. And as for watching dvds on it? An okay
experience, but since most of my dvds that I buy are widescreen,
there is a lot of wasted screen space. So thanks to some thriftiness
and saving over the past few months, I ordered one off of
amazon. I almost walked into the store and bought one but I
figured for the same price on amazon, I’ll get the $150 gift
certificate deal that they are currently offering with electronics
purchases over a certain amount.Office Space is one of my favorite movies ever, but I think that
the BBC series, “The Office” actually might be even
funnier.
