Turns out my fiddling didn’t really improve my net connectivity at all. I didn’t fry the router, but i didn’t solve the regular dropping of signal either. Bought a new router for fifty off amazon, as long as this one lasts until friday i should be okay. I start work tomorrow so all i need is just the ability to download my mail and make a few fantasy baseball changes.
WiFi is becoming too pervasive, besides mine, i can see four or five other networks from my apartment with MacStumbler. Yikes! I’m about 97 percent convinced that those networks aren’t the cause of my problems, but i’ll know for sure once my new router is installed.
