Before my loyal readership gets all uppity about me not blogging, let me throw a post up here.
It is only 11am, and i've already been up for five hours.
This is not how I would voluntarily choose to start my week.
Especially since i'm not even on-call, and could've taken care of this
particular errand on Saturday. I had to wake up early in order to
haul my ass down the peninsula for my quarterly blood work in prep for
my two doctors appointments this week to discuss my diabetes.Somehow, I made it in to the office by 9:30 am.
The weekend was wonderful. IHOP biscuits and gravy for brunch on
Saturday, an (expensive) haircut (i don't think it looks
that different, but mon' disagrees), the dog park, dinner
at Tenichis, the ghost hunt (led by an odd fellow who i've nicknamed, Count Schtickula), drinks afterwards with new friends at Lions Pub,
and a somewhat lazy sunday wandering through Costco with Monika.
It didn't really sink in that we're together now until we were browsing
around Costco, which is very much a couple-y
activity. I think its still a little weird (but exciting)
for both of us, given that we've been great friends since July
but have only recently started dating.I am incredibly excited for the Death Cab For Cutie show tonight at the
Warfield. This is one of my favorite bands lately, and I
hear that they are amazing in concert. I think i'll be listening
to Plans and Transatlanticism all day today.oh, and i'm also echoing these entries on my test-blog @ blog.pistol.net.
enjoy the simulcast.....which will incorporate (knock on wood) daily
photographs as well as an automatically updated playlist so you can see
what i've been listening to in iTunes. For the foreseeable
future, my blog will still be hosted on xanga.
